Virtual Program Versions
Use the Virtual Program Versions page to view all of the virtual programs, Test and Production. The page also displays the profile, effective date, last change date, and managing user for each version of a virtual program.
To access the Virtual Program Versions page, click on the versions or Program field link on the Maintain Virtual Programs page. Once on the Virtual Program Versions page, the following Actions are available:
- Edit - Enables you to edit a version of the virtual program (test or production).
We do not recommend you edit the target investor or product type for Production virtual programs. To prevent confusion or errors with historical pricing, we recommend disabling the virtual program and creating a new one with the desired target investor or product type.
- The Virtual Program Definition page includes the fields defined in the Virtual Program Wizard, as well as the Override Target Options & Flags, Options, and Flags sections.
- If the Override Target Options & Flags checkbox is selected:
- The checkboxes will mirror the selections from the target program.
- The selections in this section will override the values in the target program definition when running a qualification, and when determining the options and flags displayed on the General tab.
- If the Override Target Options & Flags checkbox is subsequently cleared, all selected options and flags will be cleared.
- If the Override Target Options & Flags checkbox is not selected, the Options and Flags checkboxes are disabled.
- If enabled, investor specific options will be available in the Options section. These options will be displayed at the bottom of the list.
- Copy - Enables you to create a copy of the virtual program. You can change any parameter, but if you are making an exact copy, only the effective date needs to be modified.
- Promote - Enables you to promote the virtual program to Production.
We recommend you test all virtual programs through qualification prior to promotion to confirm the program fires and prices as expected.
- Promote is only available to programs in Test (not Production).
- By selecting promote, the effective date for the program is overridden, and then the program is moved from Test to Production.
- If another version of the virtual program is currently in Production, the promoted program becomes the active program and the version previously in Production is disabled.
- Effective dates for promotion of virtual programs are key to historical pricing.
- Delete - Delete is only available for virtual programs in Test. Production versions cannot be deleted for historical purposes.
- Deleted checkbox - Displays all deleted virtual programs stored for historical purposes.
